I had a good teacher for the class in which this book was ...

There was very little in this book that is applicable to a high school Math teacher. I had a good teacher for the class in which this book was used, but I don't see why potential high school Math teachers should be lumped together with potential Kindergarten teachers in the same class! I am thoroughly disgusted with the alternate route program. I have a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and already passed Praxis. Yet I have to go back to school for over a year? I can't believe it. No wonder there is a demand for Math teachers. There should be a much briefer and easier way to bridge the gap between Education and non Education majors. So instead of spending my time honing my Math skills or making lesson plans as a new teacher, I'm going to be sidetracked with useless classes that require useless books like this.

Best step forward into the RE world!

As a newbie...I think this is my best step forward. I haven't finished the book completely. Am kinda like more than half way through it, but am so impressed that I felt the need to let you folks know what an amazing investment this has been. This book guides me to things that will help me understand and be prepared for the first few days/months and years while being established in the RE world. I don't want to give away the key points...but all I will say is that this is a MUST READ for newbie and aspiring RE agents. This is kind of like a training and one to one coaching session in itself. Thakyou for this Frank. A pleasant co-incidence is that even my RE pre-licensing course's instructors name was frank...and I am so glad I chose him over the rest of the schools.

Very Informative

I like this book because it answers questions that aren't normally included in your training and educational classes when you first enter the Affiliate Broker world! It was very concise, humorous and helpful. It helps you deal with the relatives who want you to waive your commission, the clients who want to haggle with you on your commission, what to expect as a newbie, some of the "darker" (a.k.a. "not so fun") aspects to expect and so much more. I would recommend this book to anyone who is new to the business.

Bonuskapitel "Linux-Grundlagen": Anstelle einer Festplatte verfügt der Raspberry Pi über einen SD-Kartenanschluss. Von einer SD-Karte wird dann auch das Linux-Betriebssystem gebootet. Schritt für Schritt zeigt der Autor auf, wie Linux auf eine SD-Karte aufgespielt wird und wie man Linux auf dem Raspberry Pi lauffähig macht. Ein eigenes Kapitel zu den Linux-Grundlagen helfen dabei dem Linux-Neuling, sich in der neuen Betriebssystemumgebung zurecht zu finden.

Extremely useful

Practically every recipe I've tried from this book has been delicious. I especially like the supplementary information on how to make tofu and growing bean sprouts, which I've not seen covered in other Asian cookbooks. My only criticism is that there is no alphabetical index; it makes it a little hard to look up specific recipes.

Just like grandma and mom use to make

My grandmother and mother has passed away, so I've searched high and low for authentic Chinese recipes. Granted the recipes may be salty (you can reduce the salt), but many are truly authentic. Just one look at the meat marinades and batter and I knew the dishes were going to taste wonderful. And, they were.

A couple of Martin Yan's cookbooks appear to cater to Americanized tastes or more modern tastes due to the larger audience to cater to. That wasn't what I was looking for because there are too many Chinese cookbooks out there already that covers this area. This one is authentic and I haven't found these wonderful flavors in any other cookbook so far.

Classic Yan

Yan can be a little hokey at times, but that's part of the fun. I really enjoyed this book and every recipe I have tried has been excellent. Ingredients and other tidbits are thoroughly explained. As it's one of the older Yan books, I found it enjoyable not to have to wade through a glossy "picture book" cook book so popular today that seem to leave the recipes in as an afterthought.
